OCEAN STATE WINDPOWER INC

On-site commercial wind power solutions TM

Please excuse our appearance as we are currently underconstruction with our website.

The founders of Ocean State Windpower have spent the past six years searching for the most efficient system, enhancing a proven wind generator design, procuring and patenting all necessary intellectual property, testing new improvements, comparing results with rival systems, and building the industry's "better mousetrap"

Advantageous design.  The inherent features of OSWI’s modular wind amplification tower permit the installation of efficient wind energy generators in high density populated areas near to the end-user, without dependency on electricity-robbing national grid transfers.  Our higher capacity systems can even be placed on rooftops to maximize output versus space limitations.  These turbines, utilizing the Bernoulli principal of wind compression and amplification, produce power at both lower (3.0 mph) and higher wind velocities than is possible with conventional propeller on pole systems.

Adaptable design.  The off-the-shelf interchangeable parts which OSWI incorporates within each tower, covered collectively by pending non-provisional patent applications, allow for the building of low, medium and high power turbine systems with no retooling and with minimal logistical changes during the aggregation and installation stages of tower construction.

Attractive economics.  The initial cost of the OSWI modular system is generally lower on a per kilowatt hour basis than conventional prop-on-pole units.  Furthermore, the direct prop-to-drive design ensures less maintenance down time, and the ease of repairs with off-the-shelf parts and ground-level accessibility allows for quick servicing

Vendor Relations.  The Company continues to work closely with Rexroth Bosch Group  (www.bosch.com), and their proven high end generator, electrical equipment and software that specifically fit OSWI’s system.   On Bosch’s introduction and with its coordination, OSWI is buying products from Beckwood Services Inc., New Hampshire (www.beckwood.com) and using their assistance for many aspects of the manufacturing process and to build its inverters and electric cabinets.   OSWI has retained the services of Bailar Marine Consulting LLC (www.bailarmarine.com), to provide engineering in the design of more efficient wind amplification systems.  Bailar comes highly recommended since it is well known for its work on US Naval projects involving ship propulsion, including the USS Ronald Reagan, and in the conversion of ocean and river currents into renewable energy.
